Our extreme-heavy-duty '17mm TOP CLEAN STABIL® grooved rubber and scraper bar aluminium entrance matting system' is expertly crafted for both recessed and surface-mounted applications, making it ideal for a variety of extreme-duty commercial settings. This high-performance entrance mat features a durable grooved rubber surface combined with alternating scraper bar profiles that enhance its cleaning effectiveness.

The grooved rubber is a tough, moisture-absorbing material designed to trap dirt and prevent slips and trips at internal building entrances (zone 3). The innovative scraper bar profiles work together with the rubber to boost the mat’s cleaning performance, efficiently removing debris like sand and grit from shoes. Despite its 17mm height, this entrance mat offers an impressive load capacity, supporting extremely heavy foot traffic and accommodating equipment such as shopping trolleys and pallet trucks.

Available in any width and length, all Top Clean aluminium entrance mats feature an ‘open structure’ that directs dirt and moisture into the matwell recess, preventing further dirt from entering your building. The base of the mat is equipped with advanced rubber inserts that provide excellent anti-slip properties and effective noise reduction, ensuring a safe and quiet entrance. Cleaning and Maintenance

To ensure the optimum performance of the mats, please read the following instructions for installation and care. Like any floor covering subject to heavy use, our Entrance Matting Systems benefit from a regular cleaning regime; the optimum frequency of cleaning depends on the specific traffic rate and the degree of soiling.

Regular Cleaning: Clean the surface of the aluminium profile
mat regularly with a vacuum cleaner. Set the vacuum cleaner to its
highest setting.
Cleaning in the event of heavy soiling: When heavily soiled, roll
up the mat after vacuum cleaning and remove the dirt that has been
collected in the frame.
Cleaning in the event of extreme soiling: Extremely dirty matting can easily be cleaned with a high-pressure cleaner. After the cleaning process, put the mat in a vertical position for quick drying. Return dried mats into the mat well. Your entrance mat will be fully functional again.
Replacing single ribbed carpet strips: Individual tread inserts can
be replaced when heavily contaminated or damaged. New inserts
can be fixed into existing aluminium profiles using double-sided
adhesive tape. Customers can replace damaged inserts themselves.

Replacement of Ribbed Carpet Strips

Bad soiling and objects such as cigarette butts and chewing gum as well as oil stains can severely impair the cleaning function of entrance mats.
For this reason, we have developed a method for replacing badly soiled ribbed carpet strips. The used ribbed carpet strips are detached from the
aluminium profile of the mat, so that residue and dirt can be removed from the base frame. A self-adhesive tape is attached to the back of the new
ribbed carpet strip, which is then fixed in position.

Frequently asked questions

The ramped edge frame is the ideal solution for surface mounting entrance matting, where no matwell is present. All of the Top Clean matting with 10mm or 17mm heights can easily be equipped with ramped edge profiles. Entrance mats resting on ramped edge frames provide accessibility for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

It is not absolutely necessary, but it is recommended. It protects the edges of your floor covering and it rounds off the overall appearanc

We have two 2 types of frame:

STAINLESS STEEL, 15 X 20 X 3 MM, WITH ROUNDED EDGES

SPEZIAL ANGLE FRAME 15 ALUMINIUM, 15 X 20 X 3 MM

We recommend using any of these 2 SPEZIAL angle frames for the installation of all Top Clean matting systems to ensure optimum fixation and easy release for cleaning purposes. Frame, corner connections and screws are made of one material, stainless steel or aluminium, to prevent corrosion. Frames are mitre-cut and ready for screw connection.

For all multi-part Top Clean mats without connectors in the profile direction. This help simplifies the laying of the mat, especially after cleaning.

All frames and mats are made to order. For special shapes (incl. gaps, curves or diagonals), templates or measurement may be required.

0.7 mm must be taken into account from the pit size to the external frame size, as the corner connectors of the frame add extend. From the external frame size to the mat, 1 cm is taken into account for the expansion tolerance and 0.5 cm from the internal frame size to the exact mat size. For orders with exact mat sizes, the expansion tolerance must be taken into account by the customer.

For indoor use, ribbed carpet, brush strip, cassette brush or scraper bar are suitable, for outdoor use cassette brush, grooved rubber and brush strip. All designs are also possible in alternation.

Mats weighing 40 kg or more should be divided in the walking direction if possible. From a profile length of 300 cm, the mats must be divided in profile length, as otherwise they become too unwieldy and heavy to insert and maintain. Profile length divisions should be made outside the main traffic routes. Necessary divisions are included (without surcharge).

The fire protection classification depends on the upper material. Our ribbed carpet (fine ribbed carpet) and the grooved rubber correspond to the fire protection classification Cfl-s1.

Depending on the upper material, the mats have slip-resistant properties from R9 to R13 according to DIN 51130.
