When to use Ramped Edge Frame?

The ramped edge frame is the ideal solution for surface mounting entrance matting, where no matwell is present. All of the Top Clean matting with 10mm or 17mm heights can easily be equipped with ramped edge profiles. Entrance mats resting on ramped edge frames provide accessibility for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

It is not absolutely necessary, but it is recommended. It protects the edges of your floor covering and it rounds off the overall appearanc We have two 2 types of frame: STAINLESS STEEL, 15 X 20 X 3 MM, WITH ROUNDED EDGES SPEZIAL ANGLE FRAME 15 ALUMINIUM, 15 X 20 X 3 MM We recommend using any of these 2 SPEZIAL angle frames for the installation of all Top Clean matting systems to ensure optimum fixation and easy release for cleaning purposes. Frame, corner connections and screws are made of one material, stainless steel or aluminium, to prevent corrosion. Frames are mitre-cut and ready for screw connection.

When to use T-BAR accessory?

For all multi-part Top Clean mats without connectors in the profile direction. This help simplifies the laying of the mat, especially after cleaning.

Can the mats also be made to your own specifications?

All frames and mats are made to order. For special shapes (incl. gaps, curves or diagonals), templates or measurement may be required.

How much tolerance do I have to allow for the installation?

0.7 mm must be taken into account from the pit size to the external frame size, as the corner connectors of the frame add extend. From the external frame size to the mat, 1 cm is taken into account for the expansion tolerance and 0.5 cm from the internal frame size to the exact mat size. For orders with exact mat sizes, the expansion tolerance must be taken into account by the customer.

Are the mats suitable for outdoor use?

For indoor use, ribbed carpet, brush strip, cassette brush or scraper bar are suitable, for outdoor use cassette brush, grooved rubber and brush strip. All designs are also possible in alternation.

Is it necessary to divide the mats?

Mats weighing 40 kg or more should be divided in the walking direction if possible. From a profile length of 300 cm, the mats must be divided in profile length, as otherwise they become too unwieldy and heavy to insert and maintain. Profile length divisions should be made outside the main traffic routes. Necessary divisions are included (without surcharge).

What fire protection classification do the mats have?

The fire protection classification depends on the upper material. Our ribbed carpet (fine ribbed carpet) and the grooved rubber correspond to the fire protection classification Cfl-s1.

What slip resistance do the mats have?

Depending on the upper material, the mats have slip-resistant properties from R9 to R13 according to DIN 51130.
